A quiet reading experience, with very little left behind.

Who is responsible

Prism & Kettle is an independent culinary journal based in Savannah, Georgia. This policy describes the static publication and its browser-based tools. Questions about data can be sent to letters.prismkettle@gmail.com or by editorial correspondence to 418 Whitaker Lane, Suite 2B, Savannah, GA 31401.

What this site does not collect

We do not operate accounts, submission forms, shopping carts, analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party embeds on these pages. The flavor compass and batch planner run in your browser. Their selections are not transmitted to us or saved by this site.

One local preference

Our notice uses localStorage under the key pk_almanac_pref_v26. Choosing “Remember choice” saves the value “remember”; choosing “Essential only” saves “essential” solely to remember that the notice was dismissed. Neither option enables analytics or marketing. This record has no automatic expiry and stays in that browser until you clear it. If storage is blocked, dismissal works for the current page only.

Your controls

You can clear the stored choice with the button below or remove this site’s data through your browser settings. Clearing it does not affect your ability to read articles or use the tools.

Hosting and email

A hosting service may process ordinary request data, such as IP address, browser information, requested path, and timestamps, to deliver and secure a deployed copy. Hosting retention depends on the operator and provider; this static package does not itself store access logs. Clicking an email link opens your own mail application. If you write to our Gmail address, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond or handle your request. Do not send sensitive personal information.

Retention, sharing, and requests

We keep correspondence only as needed for the conversation, corrections, and ordinary recordkeeping; no fixed universal retention period is promised. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Email and hosting providers may process information to deliver their services. You may request access, correction, or deletion of correspondence by emailing the editorial desk; applicable legal requirements may limit a request.

Younger readers and policy changes

This general-audience publication does not knowingly request personal information from children. An adult should supervise kitchen activities. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us so we can review it. Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the update date.
